The Grail CB7 rim combines an incredibly light 300g weight with the stability, control, and reliability of the most trusted tubeless system. Today's road and gravel tires have evolved. Yesterday's slow-rolling 23mm tires and energy-robbing extreme air pressures have been replaced with wider, faster, and more comfortable tire designs. The Grail CB7 is the first rim built specifically around this new breed of tire.
Designed for disc brakes and tubeless tires, the Grail CB7's patented low-profile rims increase strength while reducing weight. Taking full advantage of today's larger volume, lower pressure tubeless tires, the rim shape and carbon lay-up of the Grail CB7 allow for outstanding lateral stiffness while offering the softest riding feel of any rim. The BST tubeless rim design of the Grail CB7 has a maximum tire pressure of 85psi (5.9 bar), offering incredible performance for 28-40mm road and gravel tires. Less shoulder and arm fatigue and decreased rolling resistance mean more speed and longer distances. Whether you're on pavement, gravel, or the cyclocross course, the Grail CB7 is smoother and faster.

The WideRight 21.6mm internal width and impact-absorbing RiACT design of the Grail CB7 rim makes sure speed and reliability are matched by stability and control. The width of the Grail CB7 rim creates a more stable base for your tries, improving both speed and cornering stability. The Grail CB7 rim is constructed using our radial impact-absorbing carbon technology (RiACT) that combines a more compliant lower-profile rim shape with a special carbon lay-up process to absorb vibrations and distribute impacts. But the rim's short sidewalls and RiACT technology don't just contribute to a more comfortable and faster ride. For gravel and cyclocross racers, this rim shape also allows for lower tire pressure without the fear of pinch flatting a tire or damaging a rim. Combined with the reliability of a self-sealing tubeless tire, the Grail CB7 provides the stability and control for intuitive handling both on the road and off. BST-R TECHNOLOGY
BST-R rims offer maximum versatility with the widest range of tires and pressures. Compatible with 25mm to 32mm tires at pressures up to 115psi both with and without tubes, BST-R rims are also compatible with wider, higher-volume tubeless tires at pressures below 45psi.  
BST-R Tubeless Technology for Higher Pressures
Our BST-R rim shapes are designed for maximum versatility, and can be used with a wide range of tires. Higher volume tires 32mm to 50mm wide can be used at pressures up to 45psi (3.1 bar). The BST-R rim shape can also be used with 25mm to 32mm road tires specifically designated as "tubeless" at pressures up to 115psi (7.9 bar). BST-R rims can also be used with tubes, at pressures up to 115psi.  
Key Differences Between BST and BST-R
Our BST system was developed specifically for tubeless use with pressures below 45psi. From our Iron Cross to our Hugo, we offer low pressure BST rims for tires in the 32mm to 122mm width range. The broader pressure range of our BST-R Series rims and wheelsets means they're optimized for tubeless use with tires in the 32mm to 50mm range at pressures of 45psi or lower, as well as 25mm to 32mm tires specifically designated as "tubeless" that feature reinforced beads designed for pressures up to 115psi. Both BST and BST-R rims and wheelsets may be used with tubes.
The patented design of our BST-R rims secures the tire's bead, creating an air tight seal that lets the tire expand to its full volume. The result is more traction and less rolling resistance for increased speed.  

WIDERIGHT TECHNOLOGY:
We all know the most important piece to the bicycle-terrain interaction is the contact patch between the tire and terrain, so tire profile and tire pressure play huge roles in bicycle performance and overall handling. But many rims just don't work well with the tires we're all using. Rims that are too narrow fail to offer sufficient sidewall support and protection to your tires and create a less stable shape. The result is less control in the corners, less traction on climbs, and more rolling resistance. Rims that are too wide also distort the tire profile, decreasing traction and control and driving impacts directly into the rim, negating the impact absorbing advantages of a tire's volume. Our WideRight rim widths are designed to strike the perfect balance between tire volume and sidewall function.
Though its roots can be traced back to the original Flow and Crest rim designs, we officially began the WideRight design philosophy with the introduction of our carbon rim shapes. With our new MK3 (always pronounced Mark 3) series, WideRight expands to our aluminum rims.
WideRight rim profiles allow the tire to achieve its proper shape, and that's the foundation for a great handling, fast-rolling, and responsive bike.
Our WideRight system makes it easy to find the perfect rim width for the tire size and volume you ride. Too narrow of an internal rim mixed with a high sidewall design gives you a "light bulb" tire profile while an ultra wide rim on a narrower tire will give you a flat to "bell shaped" tire profile. Neither of these scenarios give optimal tire profiles nor allows the tire to perform as intended.
WideRight profiles provide the optimal volume without distorting the tread pattern or the side knobs so each part of the tire is in the correct position for rolling and cornering, allowing for maximum traction and control as well as offering minimal rolling resistance. The WideRight profile advantages don't stop there. Proper tire profiles not only allow for optimal tire performance but also allow the tire to do its secondary job of protecting the rim as well as the tire's sidewall. A flat or bell-shaped tire profile leaves the tire exposed to sidewall cuts and creates undue chances for rim damage.

The carbon fiber rims on our wheelsets are 30% stiffer laterally than our legendary aluminum rims, but the real key to their outstanding performance is Radial Impact Absorbing Carbon Technology. Obsessive attention to the shape of the rim and a proprietary carbon fiber lay-up process have resulted in a rim that absorbs radial vibrations and impacts while maintaining lateral stiffness, keeping your wheels driving constantly forward with less energy loss than other carbon rims. RiACT lets us create a rim that's lighter than the competition while also being stronger. Our Valor Carbon rims can absorb radial impacts large enough to compress the wheel 7mm without damaging the rim or even losing air pressure in the tire. Our new Bravo Trail and All-mountain rim is able to deflect an incredible 10mm radially without damage or pinch flatting.
